The apartment was well-equipped with a kitchen that had all necessary utensils. The location of the apartment was key, with easy access to the beach and bus stops, making it convenient to explore the area. the presence of a nearby store was a great advantage for any necessities.
One drawback was the limited availability of the reception, which made late check-ins a bit complicated. some guests mentioned a lack of regular cleaning services, with the maid only emptying the bins and a need for better maintenance of the room.

The owner was very sweet and was very friendly and answered all our questions about where to find facilities/beaches/restaurants and book ferries. The location (St Julians Bay) was very good. Although it's not on the water it was a short walk to the bay with a few decent places to swim. It was also very close to 'Baracuda', one of the nicest restaurants in Malt, perched over the water with amazing seafood and fine dining surroundings. Pricey but well worth it.
- The worst thing about the hotel was the construction site across the road. They started at 6am every morning, which was a lot of fun to listen to. They won't be finished for a few months too. - The apartments were filled with lots of students obviously doing study courses. - The rooms were big but dark. The kitchen/sitting room didn't have any windows. - The kitchen had very little utensils and anything they did have was old. The stove was ancient and took forever to work. - The beds were extremely uncomfortable.

The apartment was spacious and clean, there were also a lot of clean towels. Kitchen was well equipped. Balcony was small, but useful. There was a laundromate too, which we didn't use though. The location was very good, in a quiet and generally nice area, within only a few minutes walk to the Sliema - St Julian promenade, where bus stops are located. In the other direction, in 10-15 minutes one can walk to the Sliema seafront to catch the ferry boat from Sliema to Valletta for just 1€. Near the strand there's a large Tower Supermarket located. Free wi-fi access was a big advantage. If you're not looking for luxuries, but for an apartment in a good location for a reasonable price, it's worth to consider staying in the Mercury Residence.
The check-in procedure might be sometimes complicated, as there's no reception in the Mercury Residence. We came on Sunday and had to use transport arranged by the hotel (the driver gave us a key to the apartment), which is admittedly very convenient, but not cheap (20€) in comparison to the public transport. As it had been mentioned before in other opinion, the balcony doors didn't close properly, and mosquitos were a serious problem (I didn't expect them in Malta at all!).

Stayed here over Easter and it was a good overall experience. the apartment was clean and had good WiFi. It was also conveniently located near shops and bus stops.
The apartment had no air conditioning, which made it very uncomfortable during the hot days. the staff was mainly available by phone, which made communication difficult.

For the money, the place was just fine. The internet connection was enough to stream movies at low bit rate, and I was able to upload files at a reasonable speed. The apartment came equipped with everything needed to cook my meals, and the location was perfect because it was situated a quick walk to St Julians.
The apartment is tile throughout, and makes the unit feel cold and a bit uncomfortable. Also the fluorescent lighting against the white walls added to the feel of the apartment. In a way, it was a bit depressing to stay here. Some art, fresh paint and a couple throw rugs, or even some dimmable lighting will go a long way here.

Decent sized accommodation. It was away from the main road (bars/restaurants) but not too far to walk and a lot quieter. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of clean towels. As it is apparently used by students I was a bit apprehensive about it being noisy, but it wasn't. All in all it was a good base.
Major issue: French doors did not close properly which made the bedroom a mosquito magnet! Cleaning staff came a little too early. Could do with some pictures on the walls to brighten them up.

Quiet location but close to the lively areas of Sliema, good size for an apartment, relatively good bed, good & free Internet in the apartment.
Towels were stained with water rust and had to be changed. The building is probably not old, but the very poor finishing is repellent. Small shower area even though a better size could have easily fit in the bathroom. No telephone, no TV, no toaster.

very good position
The apartment was dirty. There was just one big window in the bedroom; the bathroom and the kitchen had no windows. There were not detergents in the kitchen and in the bathroom. The elevator has some problems (it's better if you don't use it if you suffer from backache).
